Encore Group is Roo Theatre Company’s elite performance ensemble, designed for passionate young performers ready to take their skills to the next level. This is where talent meets opportunity—students collaborate, create, and shine on stage in a full-scale production experience, building confidence, stagecraft, and unforgettable friendships along the way.
In 2026, Encore Group proudly presents The Wizard of Oz—a dazzling journey down the Yellow Brick Road, filled with iconic characters, show-stopping moments, and a whole lot of heart. From Kansas to the Emerald City, this production promises energy, colour, and theatrical joy in every scene. NB: This is NOT a musical.
Important: Encore Group is an extension program, and all students must be enrolled in another RTC drama or musical theatre class to participate. This ensures performers are continuously developing their skills alongside rehearsals.
