ITS BACK!!
The Roo Theatre Company Encore Troupe is BACK!
In 2025, the Troupe will form 2 classes - one for Juniors, and one for Seniors.
Classes will work toward staging a production to join our 2026 season line up - and perform 2 full performances open to audiences.
Classes will take place on Thursday afternoons, and break for Christmas / New Years.
There may be additional classes added during the school holiday period.
Auditions for both Encore Troupe classes will be held between 4:00pm - 6:30pm in 5-minute intervals on Thursday 23rd October and Thursday 30th October.
Performances will be staged February 22 and February 23, 2026.
Some of the Encore archived performances include; Shrek the Musical Jr, Dracula, Lord of the Flies, The Jungle Book, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Disney's Aladdin Jnr and Disney's Mulan Jr, Bugsy Malone, Living with Lady Macbeth, Hating Alison Ashley, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Peter Pan, The Pied Piper, Sleeping Beauty, Something Wicked, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, and much more.
If your child is a CURRENT enrolled student of the RTC Performing Arts School, then they are welcome to audition.
There is a one-time enrolment fee for either Encore Troupe of $120
Auditions will ask for students to come prepared with a monologue that goes no longer than 2 minutes.
Students may also be asked to read an excerpt from the chosen productions.
Junior Encore Troupe will be open for students Yr 2 - Yr 6
Senior Encore Troupe will be open for students Yr 7 - Yr 12
