     Further Roo Theatre discussions
           with Shellharbour Council
Shellharbour Council has agreed to review the painting of Roo Theatre’s exterior. Roo Theatre representatives met with Shellharbour Council on the 13th May 2010 to carry out an audit of the works required to re-paint Roo’s exterior.  The meeting was extremely positive with Colin indicating that money has been set aside with Council which can be directed to fund the painting of Roo’s exterior. The timing has yet to be confirmed but preliminary thoughts were that it may be able to be actioned soon after the end of the 2010 financial year.

            Roo Theatre Doesn’t Tweet
Or anything else for that matter!
A recent search of internet social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr etc) revealed more than 5 hits on social networking sites purporting to represent or being identified with The Roo Theatre Company. The company advises that it does not support, maintain or comment on any social networking site – Roo Theatre has only one internet site for information www.roo-theatre.com.au which is maintained on an official capacity. In Memory

MARY DRAPER

29-08-20 --- 17-03-10

It is with the deepest respect and admiration that The Roo Theatre Company marks the passing of Mary Draper on the 17th March 2010. Mary was involved with the Roo Theatre in Kiama for many years and encouraged the writing of original pieces for stage productions. Our own Chairman, Gordon Streek penned the production “It’s a Long Way Back” in 1989 with Mary, a show, which was successfully staged, and one which went on tour to the migrant clubs throughout NSW
